Happy Mother's Day!
Freedom - comes with a price - let’s not forget to say Thank You to all our Veterans and their families on Memorial Day. We owe them our utmost respect and gratitude for all the sacrifices they made so that we can live in a free country. We also need to remember and say Thank You to all the service men and women that are currently serving throughout the world and hope that they will be home soon.
Community Church of Keyport - It bears mentioning that this sustaining member of the collation of churches that are responsible for this food pantry and the grounds we built it on is celebrating their 168th Anniversary of service to the community! May God continue to bless you and keep you. Visit them on the web.
Building Donations - When we were drawing up the plans for the new building, we specified cable connections in the walls for the reception area and the conference room. We had no idea how or when we would be able to afford the large screen TVs that would be appropriate. But thanks to a patron who wishes to remain anonymous, we have recently received and with the help of a few other dedicated volunteers installed TVs and Blueray DVD players in both rooms! That is answered prayer. These will be used to display informational videos and local cable information to our clients and will also be used for training programs for our volunteers.

Food Donations – continue to come in everyday and we are truly grateful for everything we receive. We are so lucky to have people that know us and know that we do all that we can to make sure no man, woman or child goes hungry. Visit our How You Can Help section of our website for a printable list of items that are always needed. If you have specific questions about food donations please contact Associate Director Sherry Hill during our hours of operation.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – formerly known as the Food Stamp Program is of great assistance to many people who are struggling financially and need assistance in purchasing food. Foodbank personnel are available at different locations on a monthly basis throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties to assist persons who would like to apply. Foodbank personnel will be available in Keyport at the Community Church – Fellowship Hall (adjacent to the Food Pantry in the same building).
