 Here we are again!
The new school year... Fall is right around the corner and a new school year is upon us. The fall presents new challenges:
  • School Supplies We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all that donated for our client’s children this year. Because of your generosity and support our pantry children will have supplies to start off their new school year! Thank you! Donations can still be dropped off until September 15th at the pantry during our hours of operation (Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30 to 11:30 AM) or call and we will have a volunteer available to receive them). See How You Can Help - School Supplies
  • Thanksgiving We are accepting donations now of items needed to go along with the turkeys to be distributed for Thanksgiving. We greatly appreciate all donations received.
  • Christmas - Food and gifts for our little angels
  • Coat Drive - Donations of warm coats for the winter months.
Food Supplies are low! - With the children returning to school, the drains on our food supplies are high and our volunteers are busy with the returning to school, preparation for the new building and the oncoming holidays - we are always on the lookout for more and better food supplies to support our communities. All donations, big or small are truly appreciated, every little bit helps. We cannot do it without you. See our How You Can Help page.
Bayshore Lunch Program - Open to All. This program operates out of Community Church (next to pantry building). Lunches are available Monday through Friday (check the calendar for start times as they vary by day.
Two New Services - The Senior to Pantry Program & Senior Food Shopping. The Monmouth County Department of Transportation, MCDOT now offers two new transportation services for seniors (60 and over) to most of the Food Pantries in the county as well as to Food Stores. Call MCDOT 732-431-6480 press option #1 for information & guidelines and to register.
SNAP and Related Services - from FulFill Monmouth & Ocean - The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties has changed their name to FulFill Monmouth & Ocean. See article on Jersey Bites. Fulfill personnel are available at the Community Church – Fellowship Hall (adjacent to the Food Pantry in the same building) on a monthly basis to assist persons who would like to apply for SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program aka the Food Stamp Program. It is of great assistance to many people who are struggling financially and need assistance in purchasing food. Spanish speaking personnel are available, Personal de habla hispana disponible.
